Howard Bloom: We Owe Michael Jackson
Howard Bloom, the 71-year-old American scientific thinker and author who worked as a publicist for several music stars including Michael Jackson during the 1970s and 1980s, says of the King of Pop:
"It sounds strange to say, but Michael Jackson will always be a part of me. None of the great stars I worked for took root in my fabric the way he did. Michael opened a window to me onto a kind of wonder, unlike anything I had experienced in my life before. Because of this gift he gave me, I felt I owed him. I felt we all owed him. We still owe him. We owe him an understanding of his true existence. We owe him that until the day we push aside the sensational nonsense headlines and correctly see why it is that his lovers know him better than any expert or journalist who claims to have explored his life. Those experts and journalists don't know Michael Jackson. But if you love him, you have a chance of knowing him."
Michael himself sang in the song 'Childhood': "Before you judge me, try hard to love me."
