The Black Keys: Michael Jackson Blocked Us from the Grave
Today the Michael Jackson Estate sent us a link to an MTV article with the message:
"It seems The Black Keys believe the number one spot on this week's sales chart should be theirs. We certainly don't agree."

The two-person band The Black Keys performed Friday night at the 2014 Hangout Festival and stirred up a verbal battle in front of the crowd about their new album, Turn Blue.
Their message was that their fans should knock Michael Jackson off the charts. During the remarks, Patrick Carney, the band's drummer, described Michael Jackson's new album (Xscape) as garbage.
Carney also told MTV: "Dan and I want our album to go to number one, but Michael Jackson sent something up from the grave and blocked us."
Dan Auerbach, the band's vocalist and guitarist, was somewhat more measured on stage:
"Our new album came out this week. We hope everyone goes out and buys it so we can knock Michael Jackson off the Billboard charts."
The two spoke with Rolling Stone and said it was unfair that they had to go up against Michael Jackson on the charts.
Patrick Carney: "That album is a piece of garbage. It's so nauseating that it took three years after his death to make it listenable. It's like he had to die three years ago for this album to come out."

MTV concluded:
"Fair enough... Good luck, Keys fans. But just remember, even if you do beat Michael Jackson, you've still got NOW 50 and Frozen ahead of you."
