Katherine Jackson Continues Her Fight Despite Judge's Ruling

Yesterday, the judge in the AEG case announced her final ruling on holding a new trial to consider Katherine Jackson's claim. Judge Yvette Palazuelos rejected the argument of Katherine's attorney, who believed errors had been made in the proceedings, and denied any mistake in her own judgment. She also ruled definitively that the AEG trial will not be retried.

Katherine Jackson has said that despite this ruling she will continue her fight against AEG. Katherine believes the company caused Michael's death through its concealment and by putting him under pressure. In the previous trial, Katherine's attorney worked hard to prove that the doctor who killed Michael had been employed by AEG — the first step in establishing the company's guilt. The attorney successfully managed to convince jury members to vote in favor of this conclusion.

Today, Brian Panish, Katherine's attorney, said he was not surprised by Monday's ruling since Judge Palazuelos's preliminary ruling had been the same. He added that they continue to contest the AEG trial verdict and will press on with their efforts and legal actions.
