Lady Gaga Commissions Michael Jackson's Former Sculptor
She bought Michael Jackson's clothes, wore his undershirt while recording her album, and then sought out the man who had sculpted the King of Pop years earlier, to create a sculpture of herself.
Lady Gaga asked Jeff Koons, the sculptor, to create a statue of her. The image of this sculpture is the cover art for Gaga's third studio album, which will soon be released under the name Artpop.
Jeff Koons created the sculpture "Michael Jackson and Bubbles" in 1988. Michael and Gaga are the only stars to have had their sculptures created by this artist.
