About Paris: She is in good place, getting the help she needs, says KJ of her granddaughter, who is now being treated in a secluded residential facility that specialises in depression and grief management for teenagers. She hopes she will be well enough to come home by December.
Are you able to visit her?
KJ: "You have to earn points so your family can see you. She wants to come home, though."

"I still remember his laughter. I used to think about that all the time, even before he died. I would always ask Grace (kids nanny), 'was Michael ever happy? Everytime I saw him he would be happy, but I thought he was only doing it for my sake.'"

My husband used to tell him to be careful, to watch his business. The thing about it, he trusted the wrong people. They were claiming to be his friend, but they weren't. He was too trusting and then he never trust anyone. He used to tell me, "Mother, you are the only person in this world I trust".

"We were very close. We'd talk sometimes for hours on the phone. He gave me everything I wanted"

About 2005 trial and how aware his kids were about it:
"He had his tv fixed so they could only watch Disney channels or childrens channels. He didn't want them to hear all those lies about him because they didn't understand. I'm sure they've heard them since they've been older, but they were lies and I think children know that.

What do you think about Michael's friend Mark L saying he is willing to take DNA test over paternity of P &P?
(Lengthy pause) "He was a child star, wasn't he?
I heard one time that he said that. I don't even think about it when it comes to him or any of the others (making claims). I just let them talk. I have never met him.

She doesn't remember what she said in Oprah about who told her that Michael has died. Now she says Frank told him.

About Joe going back to Gary for celebrations:
"Joe was there the year before last. He is still really upset. Every time I talk to him, he brings Michael's name up. He is very angry about what happened."

Is there anything you would change about Michael's upbringing?
He always said, "I missed my childhood. I didn't get a chance to play like other children". And he didn't, being the lead singer. He would be in studio when the other boys were at home.
"You know its hard for me to say, but if I had to do it all over again, I would make them wait a while (before launching their careers), especially Michael. But I heard him say, he would do it same way; that's what he said. But I see how that affected him."
