Conrad Murray May Be Released From Prison in Three Months

Conrad Murray was sentenced to four years in prison in November 2011 for the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson. Since Los Angeles prisons are overcrowded, under a law passed some time ago, convicts who have not committed violent offenses are released after serving half of their sentence.

The tabloid newspaper Mirror has reported that Murray, 60, will be released on October 28th from the prison he constantly complains about. Murray has said he wants to write a book about Michael and may produce a documentary and sell it to the media. He will certainly not refuse media interview requests, just as he has been actively present in the media throughout these two years through his audio messages.

This comes as the Jackson family and fans believe Murray should have been tried for murder or second-degree murder, which would have resulted in a much harsher penalty.

One source says that Conrad Murray's release is an insult to the Jackson family. Katherine Jackson says it is not right that Murray is released after only two years: "I can never see my child again, but his (Murray's) mother can see her child."
