Diana Ross and Debbie head to help Paris Jackson

Yahoo News reports that Diana Ross, the acclaimed American artist and a close friend of Michael Jackson—named in his will as the children’s second guardian—has sworn she will not leave Paris alone. The outlet says Paris’s suicide attempt has terrified Diana, and after Paris is discharged from the hospital, she will do everything she can to help this 15-year-old teenager. She wants to play her role in Paris’s life and in the lives of her two brothers.

According to Michael’s will, if Katherine Jackson cannot manage the care of his children, their guardianship should be given to Diana Ross. Katherine is 82, and Diana is 69.

Of course, Diana will not pressure Katherine to get custody. She has special respect for Katherine. Last week, during a phone call, Diana told her she would not hold back any help, and that Michael’s children will have access to her whenever they want.

Meanwhile, TMZ reports that Debbie Rowe is willing to take over Paris’s guardianship if Paris wants it. Debbie, like Diana, has not taken any steps to obtain custody rights for Paris and has left the decision to her daughter. However, if the judge concludes that the actions of the two guardians of Paris—Katherine and T.J. Jackson—have not been sufficient to protect this teenage girl, he may personally revoke their guardianship and appoint someone else as her guardian, according to Paris’s wishes.

T.J.’s role in caring for Michael’s children is secondary, and Katherine Jackson has been the main decision-maker regarding the children’s matters. Perhaps the weakness in the relationship between Katherine and Paris has pushed this teenager toward forming a relationship with the woman who gave birth to her and didn’t raise her.

In 2009, when the judge—based on Michael’s will—gave guardianship of his children to their mother Katherine, Debbie accepted the ruling. Contrary to rumors, Debbie’s custody rights were not canceled even while Michael was alive, and Debbie always kept those rights with her. But under an agreement with Michael, full guardianship of the children was given to her, because, according to Debbie, the children didn’t need a mother while Michael was there.
