Video of Prince’s acting in his first TV role (behind the scenes)
In early this year, Prince Jackson, Michael’s eldest child, became a reporter for AT&T and interviewed actors and the film’s director. (You can download videos of those interviews from here.) Then news spread in the media about his role in a television series.
On Friday, Brooke Anderson, continuing her series of reports, went behind the scenes of the show in which Prince is appearing as a guest and prepared a report you can download from here and here. In these videos, you can see Prince behind the scenes of 90210 as he performs, and you can also hear what the director says. You can also watch these videos on YouTube at here and here.
Brooke, who is a Prince fan, praises his calm and focus during his first acting role. How did Prince prepare for his part? He tells Brooke that he practiced for a few hours in acting classes and also reviewed his lines with his cousin and aunt.
Prince, ۱۶, who has a driver’s license, has kept his former drivers at home for a long time and drives himself around the city in his large SUV. After meeting his new girlfriend, Remy Al Falah, who has a Kuwaiti father and an American mother, he drives her to their home in his car, and he also takes his younger brother Blanket to karate class. This teenager had requested a job as a birthday gift. It seems Prince has big ideas and goals in mind. He has a strong grip on his nerves. When the police pulled him over a few days ago because of a problem with the lights on his car, there was no sign of worry in him—this was his first encounter with traffic police. He also has the same composure in front of the camera. He told Brooke Anderson about his first acting experience:
"It was like one of those normal friendly conversations, except this time it was happening in front of the camera."
Harry Sinclair, the director of this part of the series, said the following about Prince’s performance:
"I think it was great. He’s still young, but he’s able to keep his calm completely and play his role with full control. For me, it was very strange and unusual. He was completely comfortable with his role."
But unlike the director’s praise, Prince says he doesn’t have the heart to watch himself on TV:
"I’m probably my own worst critic. I don’t watch myself."
Of course, among experienced and seasoned actors too, there are people who don’t like watching their own films—for example, Johnny Depp, who also has many fans in Iran.
Prince also told Brooke that he will continue taking acting classes because you always have to learn.
In the final season episode "We All Fall Down" of 90210, Prince Jackson plays Cooper, who survives a terrible incident and also has a wound on his cheek. After this incident, at a young age, he learned the value of life. Of course, this role isn’t strange for him at all, since he lost his father at age ۱۲. The series will air on CW starting Monday, May ۱۳, with Prince appearing.
