Katie Couric Missed Out on Dinner with Michael Jackson

Katie Couric, an American writer and journalist, was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel’s show a few days ago and talked about a missed opportunity to meet Michael Jackson in 2000.

Katie was in the process of interviewing Michael. They discussed Michael’s beloved writer, Edgar Allen Poe, and the next day, Michael’s friend and the rabbi of a Jewish community, Shmueli Butik, called Katie to arrange a meeting. Couric ultimately canceled the appointment and now regrets it.

“Now I really regret why I missed the chance to have dinner with Michael, because it would have been a very interesting conversation. But at the time, I thought it wasn’t worth it.”
