Supporting Newtown Tragedy Victims With a Michael Jackson Song

As you know, last week another one of the United States’ schools was once again stained with the blood of innocent children.

On Wednesday, the final round of the X Factor talent competition began with a performance remembering the victims of the terrible Newtown tragedy. During this performance, the children’s choir came onstage along with the contestants to perform Michael Jackson’s song You Are Not Alone. In the lyrics, the word "I" was changed to "we."

During the performance, the names of the 27 students killed in the school were shown on the stage monitors. At the end, the message appeared on the screen: "You are not alone—we are here for you."
