Bad Memories (2): A few truths about BAD
Bad was Michael Jackson’s seventh solo album and the third and final collaboration between Michael and Quincy Jones as producer. Michael Jackson fans are divided into two groups: those who followed his career since childhood and the Jackson 5 era, and those who got to know him through the unusual album (Off the Wall, in 1979). For the second group, Bad is considered Michael’s third solo album.
There were 11 songs on the Bad album:
Bad is the fifth best-selling album in history, with sales of more than 45 million copies. Due to the high number of sales in 13 countries, it received multiple Platinum and Diamond certifications (the highest sales certifications). In Hong Kong and Mexico, it reached Platinum, but sales in Australia; Austria, Canada, Germany, New Zealand, Spain, France, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK, and the United States were much higher—amounting to several million copies. In some regions, the album achieved Diamond certification with sales of more than ten million copies.
In the United States, the album sold eight million copies and received eight Platinum records. In the first five days in the UK, it sold 100,000 copies per day. By 2008, the album had earned 13 Platinum sales certifications in the UK. Bad is Michael’s best-selling album in the UK.
Bad went number one around the world—in countries such as Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK, and of course the United States!
The album stayed at the top of the Billboard 200 chart for six weeks.

Bad, The Way You Make Me Feel, Speed Demon, Liberian Girl, Just Good Friends, Another Part of Me, Man in the Mirror, I Just Can't Stop Loving You, Dirty Diana, Smooth Criminal, Leave Me Alone
All of these were released as singles, with the exception of Speed Demon and Just Good Friends.
All of these songs, with the exception of Just Good Friends and Man In The Mirror, were written by Michael. He co-produced the entire album alongside Quincy Jones.
