Janet Jackson Corrects TMZ Report
As you know, not long ago TMZ wrote that the Michael Jackson Foundation pays part of the rent for Janet Jackson’s apartment in Las Vegas. After some time, this news was removed from TMZ’s website, and Roger Friedman corrected it by writing that Janet had asked her mother to pay for the cost of staying in her apartment herself.
Janet Jackson corrected the TMZ report in a statement and said that she bought the Las Vegas apartment for her mother ten years ago, and this house is not held as collateral by a bank, so there is no need to pay rent. Janet has never lived in this house or even visited it. Janet’s lawyer said that before and after Michael’s death, she has always supported her mother, Katherine, and continues to provide financial support. Blair Brown said that Janet is a successful artist and does not need financial help from her brother’s Foundation, but she also still says that her will is fake.
On July 2, before the start of the Jackson family controversy and before they, in a letter, asked for the resignation of the Michael Jackson Foundation trustees and/or to send Katherine to Arizona, the Michael Foundation had completed the legal paperwork to request permission to pay money to Katherine. In those forms, it was stated that Katherine needs money for travel to Las Vegas and for staying in an apartment.
Katherine had requested money from her son’s Foundation to stay in Janet’s apartment because the house Janet has never lived in does not have the necessary comforts, and the Foundation must provide, in addition to travel expenses, things like food, health, communication tools such as a phone, television, internet, and other essential items needed.
