Paris Jackson Defends Her Father on Twitter
Nikki Sixx, the bassist guitarist of the heavy metal band Mötley Crüe, who is now a radio show host, invited Paris Jackson—Michael’s 14-year-old daughter—to appear on his program after issuing a public apology to her.
The 53-year-old Nikki Sixx had called Michael an abuser of children in his radio show, in reference to his third year since death.
On Sunday night, Paris told Nikki Sixx on Twitter: “I have a quick question, sir—and by the way, I’m also a huge fan of Mötley Crüe—but why do you think it’s necessary to hate people with talent?”
The next day, Nikki Sixx replied on Twitter: “Hi Paris Jackson. My sharp jokes and sarcasm sometimes get to me. I sincerely apologize to you and your family. God bless you.”
Paris then announced that she accepts his apology, and Nikki Sixx invited her to appear on his show. Paris thanked him and said it was an amazing offer.
Today, Nikki Sixx wrote on Twitter: “I apologized to Paris Jackson and my regret was real. I invited her to come on sixxsense and she accepted.”
When Michael was still young, he had said about Paris: “Paris can stand on her own. She doesn’t accept anything from anyone. She fights. She’s strong—very strong.”
Paris says she is Catholic, but she openly and very bravely defends the rights of gay people. In response to someone who said that God doesn’t like gay people, she said that if that were truly the case, he wouldn’t have created them.
She has turned Twitter into a place to express support for other stars against hatred and hostility, and she is interested in all kinds of music styles—from rock and heavy metal to pop, R&B, rap, hip-hop, and more. She plays guitar and piano and sometimes sings as well. She is also a fan of Bob Marley and The Beatles. Chris Brown, Pink, Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Nicki Minaj are among her favorite artists, but she has no interest in Madonna.
She also told the media that just because she is a teenager doesn’t mean she has to have a boyfriend, and she said to those who consider her interest in rock music to be against religion: “It’s just music. If I listen to grunge, punk, and rock, it doesn’t mean I need holy water to be purified.”
Some time ago, she had asked on Twitter whether Michael Jackson would be proud of Justin Bieber. She answered: “Yes, absolutely.” Justin Bieber thanked Paris on Twitter, and in response to one of her tweets about whether someone could help him play guitar, he said he was willing to do it.
Paris Jackson’s Twitter follower count is increasing rapidly every day and is now approaching 450,000. In this regard, she is far ahead of her older brother, Prince, who is much more cautious in using Twitter.
Prince recently posted a quote from Gandhi on Twitter, which he shared with his nearly 54,000 followers, calling him a genius: “Where there is love, life flows.”
