Handwritten Lyrics of Billie Jean Sold

On Tuesday, during a two-day auction of “Music Icons and Sports Legends” held by Julien’s Auctions, the handwritten lyrics of Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean sold for $40,625.

One of the awards presented to Michael in 1984 was also sold for $50,000. In addition, a pair of slippers signed by Michael underneath was sold for $18,750 to its new owner.

The auction also included memorabilia from Elvis, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Lady Gaga, The Beatles, Amy Winehouse, and Keith Richards.
