Even the Olympic Torch Didn’t Go Without a Moonwalk
If anyone had ever not danced with the Olympic torch, Will.i.am did it!
London will soon host the Olympic Games. Last week, on May 21, the Olympic torch passed through Taunton in the county of Somerset, England, and Will.i.am—the Black Eyed Peas singer—carried it for a distance. Before moving on, he shared his message of excitement with his fans on Twitter via his phone, and he also took a short route while doing the Moonwalk.
When Michael Jackson danced the Moonwalk during the Motown 25 show in 1983, it was new for everyone. But now people have seen and danced the Moonwalk so much that it has become part of popular culture and is recognized everywhere as a symbol of the King of Pop. The Moonwalk is even considered by artists as a tribute to the memory of Michael Jackson.
