Michael Jackson’s Unreleased Songs Stolen

Months ago, Sony’s music archive was attacked by internet hackers, and it has recently been announced that they managed to download more than 50,000 songs. Unfortunately, unreleased songs by Michael—including tracks removed from Bad, Thriller, Off the Wall, and also his duet song with Freddie Mercury and Will.i.am—are part of this stolen archive.

According to WENN, this happened when Sony’s PlayStation network was attacked last April, but the news that the music files were stolen was confirmed two days ago.

After Michael’s death, Sony signed a $250 million contract with his foundation for his works archive, which is considered the largest recording contract in history. It is not clear exactly which songs were stolen by the internet hackers.
