Former Michael Jackson Guitarist Sets Up a Memorial Show

Jennifer Batten, Michael Jackson’s guitarist on his tours, has confirmed that she is producing memorial shows for Michael titled “Forever Dangerous.”

In these shows, she will perform Michael’s songs on stage along with one of Michael’s impersonators and a team of dancers and singers. Jennifer is the guitarist for these shows, and Chris Fischer will also play the keyboard. Jennifer Batten has played guitar on stage in all three of Michael’s world tours—Bad - Dangerous - History—as well as in the Super Bowl performance in 1993. She has compared her collaboration on these tours to a fun experience that also comes with getting paid. For fans, Batten has been the most recognizable face of Michael Jackson’s group on his tours.

Since the death of the King of Pop in 2009, Jennifer has received many offers to put on memorial concerts for Michael Jackson, but she says none of them had the necessary quality to pay tribute to the King of Pop. Batten believes that the “Forever Dangerous” shows will have this quality.

Two people will be helping to perform Michael’s songs. One is an impersonator who looks like Michael and dances in his style, and the other is a singer who sings the songs on stage at the same time as the dancer performs.

The name of the lucky impersonator is Carlo Riley. In 2007, during a fan celebration in Japan, he met the King of Pop, and the resemblance of his appearance to Michael encouraged the media to refer to the two as “twins.”

The singer of Michael’s songs is Preston Scales, who found Fischer through a video on YouTube.
