Conrad Murray Wants a Smaller House

Conrad Murray’s appeal case—the doctor who is serving time in prison for the crime of involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson—may not reach a conclusion for another year. Therefore, Murray has requested to be released from prison while the outcome is still pending, without bail. That is his request. Of course, he says he is willing to wear an electronic tracker so the police can know his location at all times.

He wants to return to his girlfriend, who has a young son with him, and to begin his career again. That profession cannot be medicine. He says he needs to provide money for his young son and for the other children he has with his wife.

Conrad Murray is currently in prison under strict security measures, and when he is taken out of his cell he wears handcuffs and a chain on his feet. After the guilty verdict was announced, he was transferred to prison without delay because the judge determined that his presence in society would be dangerous.

Since Murray cannot afford his lawyer’s fees, he has asked the court for a court-appointed attorney.
