The This Is It Tour Insurance Case Has Started Moving

On Thursday, Judge Malcolm McKie allowed Lloyds London insurance to begin investigations and gather information regarding the case of the canceled This Is It concerts.

These concerts were supposed to be held in London for 50 nights by Michael. Michael passed away and the plan was canceled. Lloyds London had insured the tour, but refused to pay $17.5 million in damages to the Michael Jackson Foundation and AEG, claiming that Michael had not informed them about his use of propofol. The King of Pop’s Foundation took counteraction against Lloyds and filed a lawsuit to bring them to court.

While the fate of this case is still not clear, convicting Conrad Murray could tip the scales in favor of the Michael Jackson Foundation.

The tour’s organizer, AEG, had asked Judge McKie not to move forward with Lloyds’ case until the outcome of the lawsuit that Michael’s parents filed against Murray and this company is determined.

However, by the judge’s order, Lloyds got what it wanted and can now work to gather documents and information to prove its claims in this case. The judge also said that he will appoint an arbitrator to oversee the exchange of information between the parties.

In court, the lawyer for Lloyds insurance told the judge that his company has been waiting for this case for two years and can’t tolerate it any longer. He added that Katherine and Joe Jackson can proceed with their case against Conrad Murray and AEG while the insurance company is busy collecting information.

Lloyds London says that AEG did not provide them with accurate information about Michael’s health status even up to the last day of Michael’s life. AEG says that Conrad Murray was Michael’s personal doctor and this information should have been provided by him, not by the company. Katherine Jackson accuses the company of being involved in Conrad Murray’s strange treatments for her son but refusing to provide the necessary facilities. The company defends itself by saying that Murray was not employed by them and that they had no responsibility for his requests.

One of the factors that led to Michael’s death was the lack of sufficient facilities, such as an oxygen device and a cardiac arrest warning device in his room.

In addition to this, Michael’s parents have also filed a legal lawsuit against their son’s killer, Conrad Murray, which is currently being pursued.
