Michael Jackson’s Children at the Opening of the Immortal Tour in Los Angeles (More Photos Added)
On Friday night, January 27, Michael Jackson’s Immortal Tour in Los Angeles was opened in the presence of his children. The tour will stay in the city until August 14.
Prince, Paris, and Blanket had already witnessed the opening of this tour in Canada and Las Vegas.
This tour began one day after the ceremony of engraving Michael Jackson’s hand and footprints on a concrete plaque at the Chinese Theatre.
Rihanna, the female singer in her full-leather outfit, was among the red-carpet celebrities.
Michael’s children, as always, appeared on the red carpet with pride.
Once again, Prince wore a Jacksons-themed outfit, just like the Thursday ceremony in Hollywood. This outfit belongs to the clothing line of the Jackson brothers, which was launched by Jackie, Tito, and Marlon after Michael’s passing. This line also offers the Thriller jackets and the Michael “Beat It” jackets.
The ceremony was held at the Staples Center—where on July 7, 2009, we witnessed the memorial ceremony for the King of Pop. According to official reports, 1 billion people around the world watched that magnificent event. It has been reported as the most-watched live program in television history.
In relation to the presence of Michael’s children, the dailymail news agency wrote:
“A supermodel! Paris Jackson was showing off her stunning blue eyes on the red carpet.
Stealing the spotlight from Rihanna on the red carpet isn’t easy, but Paris Jackson defeated her with her incredibly captivating eyes. She was radiant.”
His brother, Prince, with the same calm and cool look as always—his signature feature, the headphones—had not been forgotten.
Jackie and Tito Jackson were also present at the opening, and alongside Jamie King, they took photos.
Since the Immortal Tour was reopened in October 2011, it has hosted more than 600,000 people at its shows. The tour opened in Montreal, Canada, and then went on to Las Vegas.
Later this year, the tour will head to Europe and then to Asia. It has been announced that London on October 12 will host the first European show of Cirque du Soleil at the O2 Arena. Michael was supposed to hold his This Is It tour at this same venue. Then, during the months of November and December, Cirque du Soleil will perform in a number of European cities.
From today, fans can buy tickets for the European shows.
The list of the first European cities hosting the Michael Jackson Immortal Tour has been announced as follows:
London in the UK—Hernning and Copenhagen in Denmark—Stockholm in Sweden—Helsinki in Finland—Frankfurt, Ahrenshausen, Munich, and Hanover in Germany—Vienna in Austria—Mannheim, Leipzig, Hamburg, Cologne, and Berlin in Germany—Madrid in Spain.
