Finally, a Concrete Plaque... But Why So Late?

Maybe, when you saw Paris pressing her iconic white glove—her father’s—onto the concrete surface, you also thought with bitterness: why wasn’t this done while Michael was still among us? Michael Jackson’s star is located right on the sidewalk in front of the Chinese Theatre. Michael loved this old cinema, and he wished that one day his handprint, shoes, and signature would be recorded on a concrete surface like those of other great artists, both big and small.

It’s true that the names of major celebrities are engraved in this theatre, but stars whose fame, talent, and achievements seem ordinary compared to Michael Jackson are not few among them.
