Rebbie Jackson: Michael’s Children Tell Him About Him Every Day

Rebbie Jackson, the eldest child of the Jackson family and Michael’s sister, said in an interview that she knows one day she will see her younger brother again: “He’s gone, but I know I’ll see him again.”

Rebbie says believing this gives her the strength to endure difficult moments like Michael’s murder trial.

“That the general public is also part of this story makes it harder to bear. Only those who spent time with Michael know him well. People around the world look at him differently than we do as his family. First and foremost, he was my brother, and then he was an artist. I look at him as my brother, and I think that because of me and also because of his children, they should have that kind of perspective.”

Rebbie says that Michael’s children are aware of Conrad Murray’s trial, but they have handled it very well. She says there isn’t a day when Prince, Paris, and Blanket don’t talk about their father:

“Every time I see them, when I’m with them they always say, ‘Dad did this’... ‘Dad said that’... I hear all those things coming out of their mouths the whole time.”

Rebbie and Tito were in London to attend the premiere celebration of David Gest’s film Michael Jackson: The Life of an Icon, which was held last night.

Tito said: “I’m proud of my brother. I want people to remember how much he loved. I want them to remember this more than his music. They should know how much he cared about people. He is one of the few people I can put in the same line as great figures like Dr. Martin Luther King. He changed the world. He did it through music. Dr. King did it through his speeches. Michael was able to bring about change, and he is still changing the world.”
