Michael Jackson Memorabilia for the Las Vegas Festival (Video)
From December 3 to 14, a Michael Jackson fan festival will be held in Las Vegas. Part of this festival will feature a display of some of Michael Jackson’s memorabilia from Neverland. Also, You read that Michael’s brothers—Marlon, Jackie, and Tito—will also be present at the festival on December 4.

In the first video, the Access Hollywood reporter, along with Miko Brando, the son of the legendary Marlon Brando—assistant, bodyguard, driver, and friend of Michael Jackson—takes a look at the memorabilia that will be displayed for fans at the Las Vegas festival.
A white hat Smoot Criminal, a white jacket from the Victory Tour, a red jacket from the American Music Awards ceremony, his collection of cars, and even a carousel horse that Elizabeth Taylor had written a note on in the late 1980s: “For M.J., love, E.T.” and had given to Michael. This horse was not inside the carousel at Neverland; Michael had only displayed it.
The airplane in which Michael had filmed the video Leave Me Alone, along with his chimp Bubbles and his pet snake Masles, is also among these valuable memorabilia. Miko says keeping a chimpanzee and a snake on this plane took a lot of work.
He talks about his memories and breaks down in tears when he remembers Michael’s generosity. Miko was busy with his wedding ceremony, and Michael suggested that he celebrate at Neverland. Miko couldn’t believe it. Michael then made him even happier when he asked if Miko would like to be his best man!

In the second and third videos, Michael’s brother Jackie, along with Miko Brando, are in the Access Hollywood studio to talk about the memorabilia.
Jackie says Conrad Murray’s guilty verdict has calmed them somewhat, but it won’t bring Michael back.
One of Michael’s memorabilia items brought to the studio for display was a carousel ice cream cart. The cart used to move around Neverland, and anyone who wanted ice cream could take it from inside.
A Disney World statue was another memorabilia item. Miko says Michael enjoyed looking at this statue, which was placed above the fireplace at Neverland. Miko points out that Michael sometimes went to Disneyland in disguise, but people always recognized him—probably because of his shoes!
Miko explains that Michael loved Walt Disney and always wrote his notes in red. Why? Because Disney always wrote his notes with a red pen. Brando says Michael always had a red pen in his pocket.
Jackie recalls that during their concert tour, Michael was always busy reading books about Disney. He knew everything about this man.
“He loved Disney. He told me that when he grew up, he would build a Disneyland in his house.” He said this to me when he was 10 years old. He made good on his promise.”
He had thousands of Disney books. Among them, you can find first editions of Disney books that are now rare and out of print—and all of them were kept very clean and in good condition.
Miko says Michael didn’t limit himself to books. He bought anything from A to Z that had to do with Disney, and when they returned home from Disneyland, their hands were full of Disney memorabilia.
A hat and a jeweled award-jacket from the Triumph tour were also part of the display. These items were heavy, and Michael would bounce around on stage while wearing them—and the question is always: how could he!?
Besides Michael’s luxurious and heavy jackets from the Victory Tour and the American Music Awards ceremony, two of Michael’s favorite Grammy awards were also present. Michael won one of them in 1985 for the behind-the-scenes film of the video trailer, and the other in 1984 for the audio book E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial. In this audio book, Michael is the narrator of the story of E.T. When recording Michael’s voice in the studio, he would cry. This audio book is very emotional.
Miko says album awards were important to him, but side awards were even more important. He was especially proud of the Grammy for E.T., and as Miko put it:
“Jumping up and down with joy.”
One of the jackets was that very famous royal red jacket he wore at the 1984 American Music Awards ceremony. Brooke Shields attended that night with Michael in a white outfit. The pop star brought home 8 awards.
Miko says Michael wore this jacket a few times and then put it aside. He liked to keep all his special-occasion outfits.
A royal belt was also among the items. Michael had helped design it, and he wore it only once at the 1993 Soul Train Music Awards ceremony. This belt is very heavy. During rehearsals, Michael injured his ankle, and at the night of the ceremony he performed the song Remember The Time while sitting on a chair.
The telescope that was placed in the studio surprised Jermaine. It was the first time his eyes had fallen on this piece of his brother’s property, and he hadn’t thought Michael would have a telescope.
In the late 1980s, Michael had seen this telescope in a store in Santa Monica and brought it to Neverland. He was very interested in seeing the stars. Miko says he and Michael weren’t astronomers, but they still enjoyed watching the sky like anyone else.
According to Miko, Michael was very careful when buying things and knew exactly what he was looking for.
And here’s a beautiful, lovable surprise for fans!
Michael had made an album of photos of his fans. The album contains photos from his concerts. When he was on stage, he couldn’t see the faces of his audience full of excitement, so he looked at their photos to keep their memories in his mind.
Miko says Michael read his fans’ letters and replied. Still, many boxes full of letters, postcards, photos, and drawings that fans sent to Michael are kept in storage. Miko says Michael liked to keep his fans’ memorabilia.
Miko believes that when people see Michael Jackson’s memorabilia, they understand how he lived and what his taste was.
Jackie believes this about his brother:
“An amazing superstar who wanted the best for himself and for his fans. Fans can look at the items he bought and understand what he was interested in. I personally have never seen some of these items, and I’m excited to see what I’ve only heard described.”
