Life of an Icon documentary about Bebe Jackson released
Last night in London, a new David Gest documentary about Michael Jackson titled Life of an Icon (“Life of a Fan”) was shown for the first time at a special ceremony. Rebbie and Tito Jackson, Michael’s sister and brother, attended the event.
David Gest says that 90 percent of what his documentary says about Michael Jackson is information that has never been heard by the public and that no one knows about.
Michael’s mother praised the documentary and called it a good way to tell the truth about her son.
Among the people interviewed in the documentary are Smokey Robinson and Whitney Houston, two music-world celebrities, as well as Thomas Mesereau, Michael’s defense attorney in the 2005 trial.
In explaining one of the scenes in the documentary, Gest refers to a memory involving Whitney Houston. The artist had gone to Michael’s Neverland ranch, where, while having dinner, she had an interesting face-to-face encounter with Michael’s pet chimp, Mr. Bubbles.
The documentary was released in the UK on Monday on DVD and Blu-ray.
