Michael Jackson’s Children at Their Father’s Memorial Concert (Photo and Video)

On Saturday night, Michael Jackson’s three children came on stage at their father’s memorial concert to introduce Beyoncé.

Thriller jacket, leather jacket, and a red armband... each of them had a sign of their father.

The 14-year-old Prince, the 13-year-old Paris, and the 9-year-old Blanket were invited on stage by Jamie Foxx, the host of the ceremony, who called them “the heirs to the king’s throne,” and they were met with a warm reception from the fans. Blanket, who was affected by the stadium atmosphere, had a little trouble putting his thoughts into words. He said:

“We’re happy to be here tonight to introduce our father.”

His sister Paris came to help and support him kindly: “We’re happy to be here in this special night to pay tribute to our father.”

Paris, who had put white tape on her fingers like her father, praised Beyoncé’s talent and energy and said:

“She carries the torch that my father lit, and I’m honored to introduce her on stage.”

Then, with all the energy in the world, she shouted: “Everybody together—cheer for Beyoncé!”

Beyoncé was originally supposed to come to Wales for a live performance, but she decided to send a video from America to be shown during this ceremony. In this video, she performed “I Wanna Be Where You Are” by the Jackson 5.

With her hair styled like the African-inspired hairstyles of the Jackson brothers in Jackson 5, she said through the video that “Where You Are” was the first song she performed with Destiny’s Child, and that this song was the beginning of their future path.”

Before her performance, Beyoncé said: “The first time I saw Michael Jackson, I fell in love with him. When I looked at him, I knew he was exactly what I wanted to be. He has inspired me so much. Michael Jackson, I love you forever.”

After that, the kids joined their uncles, their aunt Latoya, their cousins, and the JLS group on stage to perform two songs: “Blame It On the Boogie” and “Don’t Stop Til’ You Get Enough.”
