A Statement from John Branca Regarding the Release of Michael Jackson’s Immortal Album

John Branca, head of the Michael Jackson Foundation, addressed remarks about the Immortal album and the Immortal tour in a letter to Jeff Jampol, the General Manager of the Michael Jackson Estate’s online team. The letter was emailed by Jeff Jampol to fan websites before it was released to the media.

In his letter, John Branca wrote:

“Title: Release of the Immortal Album on November 21

I wanted to write to you personally and express my excitement about Michael Jackson’s Immortal tour (immortal) and his Immortal album, which is set to hit the market.

I am very grateful to the fans who were able to come to Montreal to watch a test performance of the tour and share their experience with others. Since that day, the shows have been on an upward trend, and the reviews written about them have been extremely positive—just as Michael deserves.

What also thrills me is the opportunity this tour gives to people who don’t know Michael, so they can discover him for the first time. Immortal is a magical journey for these people into the land of Michael Jackson’s music, love, and art.

The creative team of this tour, led so skillfully by Jimmy King, has woven together a tapestry of songs, videos, dances, vocals—and, most importantly, Michael’s spirit.

The Immortal album, which contains songs performed on the Immortal tour, will be released on November 21. Kevin Antones has joined Jimmy King to arrange Michael’s songs for live performance.
