A Letter from the Michael Jackson Foundation Regarding Songs Used in Cirque du Soleil

Jeff Jampol, the General Manager of the Michael Jackson Foundation’s online team, MJOnline, has sent an email on behalf of the Foundation and Cirque du Soleil to fan websites and said: "Thank you all for your continued support of Michael, the Foundation, and all of us. There has been a lot of talk about which songs are being performed in Cirque du Soleil shows and which are not, and we want to provide you with information on this. As we told the fans who came to Montreal, some of the songs you saw will be removed from the main shows that begin on October 2, and some other songs that were not performed will be added. As the Foundation and Cirque du Soleil told this group of fans, the selection of songs is a very serious matter under review for them, and changes will continue to be made in all aspects of the show—not just the music. There are many reasons for these changes. Some are due to creative variety or side issues, and so on. For example, during rehearsals that took place after the fans’ visit, Cry, Breaking News, Off The Wall, and Man In The Mirror were crossed off the performance list. And likewise Monster, although perhaps a portion of Fifty Cent’s rap will be performed. Threatened has been added to the song list, and another use for Bad has also been considered. Changes have also been made in how Wanna Be Startin' Somethin is performed. More changes are on the way. We wanted you to hear this information directly from us.
