Darren Julien, the director and head of Julien’s Auctions—the biggest seller of Michael Jackson memorabilia—talks about Michael in his interview:

"I’ve met Michael Jackson many times, but most of the time I spoke with him by phone. The first time I saw him was at an event with Quincy Jones. All the deals and contracts I had with Michael were always handled very well. He had a pleasant and dignified personality. We appreciate everything he has done for us. He will remain an important part of Julien’s history forever."

Michael Jackson’s trailer jacket was sold for $1.8 million by Julien some time ago. Has any other piece of Michael memorabilia ever been sold for a price like that?

"Julien is the record holder for selling Michael Jackson memorabilia at the highest price. Previously, his white glove was sold for $420,000 on the Motown 25 program. The Bad jacket also sold for $271,000."

"We’re thinking about holding more auctions of Michael Jackson memorabilia, and we have big plans in mind. But we will always make sure that our activities are in line with preserving Michael’s legacy, and we will never take a step—despite the wishes of his foundation, his mother and his children, who are the main continuers of his path."
