Pieces of Michael Jackson’s clothing up for sale
Everyone knows that the King of Pop is also one of the fashion icons of the world. Who could forget the jeweled sequin glove, the Billie Jean jacket, Beat It, Thriller, and that unique hat? But the starting point for all these creations was when Michael, as a teenager, shone on stage in his colorful, dazzling outfits.
Panini America, the company that produces trading cards, two years ago bought a portion of the outfits Michael Jackson wore between 1971 and 1974 on stage in The Flip Wilson Show, American Bandstand, and Soul Train—and... they cut them up!
Starting June 15, this company will sell each piece of these outfits on a trading card.
The company is supported by the Michael Jackson Foundation. Panini America’s CEO says they have been busy producing these cards for two years, and the series of Michael Jackson cards they created is different from their other products.
