Michael Jackson murder trial pushed back by a few months

The trial for the involuntary manslaughter case of Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, was supposed to begin in a few days, but the judge yesterday decided to push the trial back until September.

The judge made this decision at the request of Conrad Murray’s defense attorneys because they were not prepared to attend the trial. The reason is that the 11-hour expert review by the prosecution doctors has discredited the defense’s theory that Michael committed suicide by drinking propofol.

In this regard, 171 residents of Los Angeles who were called to court last month to assess their eligibility to serve on the jury have been excused from the process, and new people will be selected starting September 8 (17 Shahrivar) for this duty.

The judge says that delaying the trial is an essential need to ensure justice in this case.
