A Judge and Two Lawsuits from Catherine and Joe Jackson

Yvette Palazuelos, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge, has been assigned to handle two lawsuits filed by Michael Jackson’s mother and father, Catherine and Joe, against AEG and Dr. Conrad Murray. Catherine had already filed her lawsuit, and when Joe filed a separate petition, the judge agreed to hear both cases together. Of course, that doesn’t mean there will be a single joint trial.

Catherine accuses AEG of negligence in protecting her child’s life. Catherine criticizes the company—who hosted Michael’s This Is It concerts in London—for hiring Conrad Murray. And Joe says Murray should not have injected Michael with strong drugs, and that his duty was to tell the emergency doctors who arrived at Michael’s side the truth.
