Prosecutors in Michael Jackson’s murder case want jury members to see scenes from the film This Is It that were recorded from Michael Jackson’s dancing on stage just a few hours before his death. In their brief, prosecutors wrote: “This film shows him at age 50, active and full of energy.” In this way, prosecutors are rejecting the claim made by Conrad Murray’s defense lawyers, who describe Michael as a sick man who ended his own life before his death. “This film proves that he was actively involved in every step of his upcoming tour and was full of motivation and enthusiasm for life. The prosecutor also plans, if the judge agrees, to show the jury autopsy photos of Michael Jackson’s body. They believe these photos prove that although Michael was thin, he was healthy. They also think these photos will help the jury understand the medical evidence and testimony. Murray’s lawyers have opposed showing the photos, saying they would inflame the jury’s emotions against the accused Conrad Murray.
