Tears of Janet Jackson in a TV interview

Janet Jackson, Michael’s sister, brought back memories of Michael in a recent television interview with Piers Morgan on CNN in the United States, and she broke down in tears. She is 8 years younger than Michael, and she regrets why she hadn’t spent more time helping Michael, who suffered from severe insomnia and relied on a doctor’s expertise and trust in medication to treat himself.

The last words exchanged between the two were words of love: “I told him I love you, and he said I love you too, Dank.”

“He used to call me Dank, Danky Fryday Chicken (pork chop). It doesn’t mean anything. Michael always used to make silly jokes like that.”

Recalling her difficult childhood and the fact that their father wouldn’t let her call him “Dad,” Janet began to cry.

“He was never the father I dreamed of having… One time I tried to call him ‘Dad,’ but he said, ‘I’m Joseph for you. You don’t have the right to call me Dad.’ These things affect children a lot. Even now, as you can see, I can feel the effect on me.”

As she spoke, her eyes filled with tears. She also said that she will be present at the upcoming court hearing to address the charge of Michael’s murder.

“Sitting in court is hard, but he is my brother, my blood brother. He isn’t here for some other reasons. I think for every family that loses a member, it’s important to be present at court. You want to witness justice being served.”
