Asher pays tribute to Michael Jackson
Last Friday, Usher, at his concert at London’s O2 Arena—where Michael Jackson’s This Is It tour concerts were supposed to take place—offered a tribute to Michael. He said:
“Performing in a place where a legend was supposed to host the stage, and all of us were waiting for him—that is an honor for me. I want to pay tribute to that man.”
A shiny pair of silver shoes landed on the stage from the rotating rig in front of Usher’s feet, where he was wearing a red leather jacket. He then asked: “Ladies and gentlemen, may I have your permission to wear these shoes?” And at the start of Michael’s song “Don’t Stop ’Til You Get Enough,” he said:
“Are you ready? For those who still don’t know what’s going on, this is a tribute to the one and only Michael Jackson in the world.”
