Sad Gangster and a Slave to the Rhythm: More Michael Jackson Songs Leak

Blue Gangsta, or the sad gangster, is another unreleased track from the Invincible album and one of the recent leaked songs on the internet. The song was written by Elliott Street or Dr. Freeze (co-writer of Break of Dawn from Invincible and A Place With No Name, which has not been released yet). Blue Gangsta was completed by Michael, but the King of Pop didn’t allow it to be released. In 2006, DJ Tempamental and Press, the rapper, somehow got hold of the song, recorded the rap part on it, and released it on Tempamental’s MySpace page under the title Gangsta. Later, the song was renamed No Friend Of Mine, which was slightly different from the first version. Michael had no hand in producing either of these songs. Although at the time it was mistakenly rumored that he had made these songs in collaboration with Tempamental, in reality they were stolen. Michael’s representative denied Michael’s connection to these songs that same year. A few days ago, the real version of the song with its original name, Blue Gangsta, prepared by Rodney Jerkins (Darkchild) between 1999 and 2001, was uploaded to the internet. Also Slave To The Rhythm, which was recorded in 1989 for the Dangerous album but never released, leaked onto the internet over the past few days.
