Oprah Talks With Michael Jackson’s Second Family

The Cassio family recently sat down with Oprah Winfrey to talk about their 25-year relationship with the King of Pop. The interview will air on December 6, along with Oprah Winfrey’s conversation with Teddy Riley, the producer of Michael’s new album. The Cassios, who live in New Jersey, told Oprah that Michael considered them his second family and that he would suddenly appear at their doorstep. Connie, the mother of five children in this Italian family, says: "At midnight, he would knock on the door. We considered him a family member, and we treated him not like a King of Pop, but like a normal person." They shared with Oprah unseen family footage of their meeting with Michael. Eddie Cassio was three years old when he met Michael, who later became his music teacher. They wrote and produced songs together. Three of these songs are on Michael’s new album. Two of these songs have leaked onto the internet—one officially and one unofficially—along with the third song, which nobody has heard yet, and all of them will be played during the interview.
