Quincy Jones’ Opinion on Michael’s Album

Quincy Jones, who served as the executive producer on three of Michael’s albums—Off the Wall, Thriller, and Bad—has shared his thoughts on Michael Jackson’s new album with eMJey: "Someone called and asked if (Breaking News) was Michael’s voice. Well, it seems like it is Michael’s voice, but there are so many background sounds that I can’t identify it with enough certainty. Maybe it’s because I haven’t had time to listen to it properly yet. But anyway, this album shouldn’t have been released. I think it’s all about money." Quincy Jones believes that, for Michael Jackson—who was a perfectionist and always had the final say on his work, and who wouldn’t have seen the light of day any song without his final edits— it wouldn’t have been acceptable for his material to be offered to other artists.
