Michael Wanted Hold My Hand to Be First

Sony says it has been provided with notes from the Michael Jackson Foundation, written in the personal handwriting of the King of Pop, showing that he wanted to release Hold My Hand as the first single from his new album. Therefore, Hold My Hand will be released as the first official single from the «Michael» album on November 28 in the UK. But before that, on Monday, November 15, the song will be available on the official Michael Jackson website for listening. The song was recorded in 2007 with Akon. In 2008, a version in which Akon was the lead singer leaked online. Now Akon has produced another version of this song, in which Michael’s voice is the lead, so it can be released as a single. He said: "When this song leaked a few years ago, the world wasn’t ready to hear it. We were devastated by its leak. But now, the time has definitely come, and it’s now an amazing and beautiful song. I’m proud to have had the chance to collaborate with Michael, one of the idols of my life." The «Michael» album will be released on December 14. It has 10 tracks, and as with previous albums, Michael Jackson’s name will appear among the producers. Source: eMJey / Sony Music
