Heard Details About the Album “Michael”
Those who have heard the suggested tracks for the album say the problem might be that they’re all too much—right there, for one album! And most likely, some songs will be left out… maybe until the next albums.
Many experts believe that with all these beautiful songs and so many big-name producers, it couldn’t have been better—unless Michael himself were here!
This album isn’t “good”! They say it’s “absolutely, unbelievably good.” Those who have heard the songs describe them as even better than you could imagine. Maybe the album Michael… with the sales that are expected… will be “the trailer” for what’s to come.
A music critic says that if the album doesn’t go number one around the world, he’ll change its name. It has been rumored that the song Hold My Hand, recorded in 2008 in collaboration with the Black singer Akon, is one of the tracks on Michael Jackson’s new album. It’s said that this song will be released as a single on iTunes for sale.
The song leaked on July 1, 2008, and surely many people have heard it. But the version that will be released on the album will be different from the leaked track—this time, the main singer is Michael himself, and you’ll hear less of Akon’s voice. Sources from Sony say that a music video will also accompany the song.
And according to what’s being said, this will be just the beginning of several singles from Michael that Sony will send to the market. Most of the songs on the new album are like that.
Much Too Soon, a track that was re-recorded in 2010 with the collaboration of Tommy Emmanuel, the prominent Australian guitarist, is one of the album songs. Michael’s voice on this track belongs to the mid-1980s, but Emmanuel played the guitar just a few months ago.
Lovely Way has recently been re-produced by Mark Ronson, though it was originally made years ago. Ronson says: “They gave me a Michael vocal to work on. I never met Michael for this song. Something about it is in the vein of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road by Elton John and Imagine by John Lennon.”
It’s also been said that one or both songs that Michael recorded in 2007 with will.i.am will be included on the album. These two tracks are called I’m Dreamin and The Future. There’s no official confirmation yet, but John Branca had previously said that songs produced by will.i.am would be part of the album. will.i.am himself is fundamentally against this album. He previously said that when Michael isn’t here, you shouldn’t touch his work because it will never satisfy Michael’s opinion. Michael was a perfectionist.
Another candidate is Another Day, recorded in 2000 with Lenny Kravitz. After Michael’s death, only a very short part of it leaked. Lenny announced in January this year that this song would be released as the first single from the Michael album. On August 30, he confirmed that the Michael Jackson Foundation is responsible for the work on this track, but no new information has been released since then.
A Place With No Name—undoubtedly everyone has heard a short snippet of it after Michael’s death—had been introduced months ago as a song from the new album. But no new news has been shared about it. Michael recorded this song in 1998.
Rodney Jerkins, producer of Michael’s last studio album in 2001, Invincible, said he had no involvement in the new album, but maybe he’ll start working on another project. He has repeatedly said that many of the songs he and Michael worked on never made it onto the album. Jerkins believes many of them are even better than the songs on Invincible. He cited We’ve Had Enough and Escape as examples.
