Album Title, Cover Art, and Release Date Revealed for Michael Jackson’s New Album

At last, the wait is over: it has been announced that Michael Jackson’s new album—made up of previously unheard tracks—will be released on December 14 by Epic Records and the King of Pop Foundation. The album is simply called “Michael,” and you can see the cover art below.

On Monday, November 8, a full track from the album titled “Breaking News” will be released for one week on the official michaeljackson.com website. The song was recorded in 2007 in New Jersey. Fans can place orders to buy the album on this same site.

The cover art was created in 2009 with oil paint by painter Kadir Nelson. In his paintings, Nelson tells stories, and in his latest work he takes the viewer on a journey through Michael Jackson’s life.
