Akon and Will.i.am Clash Over the Michael Album
The first single from the «Michael» album was released yesterday on the King of Pop’s official website. Hold My Hand is a duet with Akon, the young Black singer.
Will.i.am, a member of the Black Eyed Peas, called the new album a disrespect to Michael Jackson. He says no one ever knew when the King of Pop would be satisfied with working on a song, and that the recent songs are a disrespect to his perfectionist nature.
But Akon believes Michael wanted this album released. He said recording this song with Michael was a dream coming true for him: "I’m honestly against Will.i.am. I don’t see any disrespect in this. These albums—whether they were Michael or not—were going to be released anyway. I think this helps preserve his legacy."
Yesterday, TMZ set up a poll for Hold My Hand, and the song scored 10 out of 10. Apparently, people agree with Akon as well.
