Katherine Says from the School Auditorium
Taj, Michael Jackson’s nephew (the son of Tito), regarding the news that the cover over his uncle’s name on the facade of Gardner School auditorium has been removed; on his Twitter page, he directly quoted his grandmother Katherine:
“After heartfelt conversations between me, my grandson Taj, my family friend Judy Gomez, and the education district, I am overwhelmed with emotion that the school will once again proudly have my son’s name on the facade of its auditorium. This could not have been achieved without the tireless sacrifices of my son’s fans—and especially the extraordinary members of the ‘Michael Jackson Name Freedom Campaign.’ In the coming days, I will have a joint statement with the school. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Michael would have been proud of you. ”
Taj had complained a few days earlier, before the media promoted and advertised the removal of the cover over his uncle’s name. On Twitter, he wrote that negative words become headlines, but positive points are not told.
“My grandmother needs your support, not your criticism. She was my uncle’s role model. My uncle always said he had the best fans in the world. He isn’t dead. He lives in you. I want to make sure people hear the truth about my uncle. Let the world know the real ‘eMJey’—a remarkable human being with a heart of gold.”
