Forest Lawn Upset Over Michael Jackson Fans’ Gifts
The caretakers of Forest Lawn Park in Glendale, Los Angeles—where Michael Jackson is buried—are complaining about the large number of flowers and gifts that fans bring for the King of Pop.
From now on, anyone who wants their flowers to reach Michael—or, in fact, to be placed next to the crypt where he is sleeping—must pay three dollars to the park. And only flowers are allowed. Other gifts such as picture frames, posters, teddy bears, letters, and other items will be thrown away. Of course, since there isn’t enough space in the cemetery to accommodate all the flowers, the extras will be removed from the grounds.
Previously, fans could leave all their gifts for the King of Pop in a designated place. Those gifts were taken into the cemetery and “for free” placed next to Michael’s marble tomb.
