Roger Friedman: Divorce Rumor Confirmed

In his column, Roger Friedman writes that the rumor of Katherine and Joe Jackson’s divorce is true, and that a family friend has confirmed this news. Although there has been no official comment on the matter yet.

Friedman says many disagreements led to this decision, and one of them was Joe’s statements blaming Katherine for Michael’s death. The friend said: "Katherine was never able to come to terms with that statement."

The second reason is Joe Jackson’s strong eagerness to get involved in financial cases that could end up costing him dearly—and in that case, Katherine would also be hit.

Katherine had previously filed for divorce twice, and in both cases she changed her mind. One time it went back to a period when a woman who belonged to Joe had a child. Joe Jackson had two daughters with two women who were not his wives. He has been living in Las Vegas with one of these daughters, after being driven out of the Jackson family home in Encino years ago.
