Michael’s Western Wear Display

Starting August 17, a display of the western outfits Michael wore, titled "Michael Jackson: How He Wears Western," has begun at the Autry Center in Los Angeles.

Michael’s desire to wear a wide range of clothing is one aspect of his unique personality. People around the world have seen his flashy outfits, but his western wear has received less attention. In the exhibition "Michael Jackson: How He Wears Western," his unique way of turning classic western clothing into modern stage-ready tools is on display.

The western outfits being shown include: cowboy outfits, a western belt and buckle, cowboy steel-toe boots, a red vest shirt with black designs, a men’s black hat, pilot sunglasses, a white glove, and blue jeans.

Michael’s designers, Dennis Tompkins and Michael Bush, sent these outfits to the Autry Center from their own personal closets for display. To see images, click.
