Michael’s Birthday Celebration in Gary

The mayor of Gary, Indiana has announced that on Saturday, August 28, a birthday celebration for Michael—"one of the city’s favorite children"—will be held.

Roddy Clay said: "Michael’s passing is still painful for us. One day before his birthday, we honor his memory as a great, generous man and the world’s greatest entertainer."

The title of the birthday celebration is "This Is It," and it will be held in front of Michael’s childhood home. Thriller dance groups will perform, and maybe his father Joe Jackson will come to cut the cake.
