Strong Energy in Michael’s Room

TMZ says that the reason for Michael’s insomnia on the night he died may have been the use of energy pills found in his bedroom. Police found a bottle containing pills in Michael’s bedroom with no label on it. The bottle contained 13 energy pills, and each pill was a combination of 25 mg of ephedrine, 200 mg of caffeine, and 80 mg of aspirin. The amount of caffeine in the pills is equivalent to the caffeine in six bottles of Coca-Cola. The company that makes the pills warned about taking them in the afternoon because they may cause insomnia at night.

Michael suffered from severe insomnia the night he died, and his doctor, Conrad Murray, injected him with various sleeping medications and ultimately propofol, which caused his death.

Commercial ephedrine, used as a stimulant for weight loss, has been banned in the United States due to side effects including heart attacks and even death. The coroner was able to identify the presence of ephedrine in Michael’s body. However, the cause of death was declared to be poisoning caused by propofol.
