The Michael Jackson Foundation vs. the Norelland Group

"Norelland" is a music group in San Francisco that performs Michael Jackson’s songs. The lawyers of the Michael Jackson Foundation, John Branca and McClain, became involved in a legal dispute with this group because of their unauthorized use of the name “Norelland.” Norelland is Michael Jackson’s ranch in the Santa Ynez Valley in the state of California. The lawyers wanted the group to change its name, and as a result “Norelland” (land of nowhere) was changed to “Foreverland” (eternal land). However, their website is still addressed via Neverlandsf.com. The group has offered to hand over this internet address to the lawyers in exchange for $30,000. The lawyers, after rejecting the offer, told the group that they have until February 2011 to hand over this second item. Source: eMJey / PR-Inside
