Wesley Snipes, a Black actor and Michael’s co-star in the Bad video, said about him: "In my opinion, he was an angel sent to us, and I think we should reflect on how well we took care of him. People say the people around him were bad and didn’t treat him well, but I think we all did it together. I don’t know when the last time was, or which artist it was, that attracted so much energy toward himself and emitted such power. An artist who was so creative and influenced so many people. He was known around the world as a representative of America, and in American culture—and for Black Americans—he was a hero. People wanted to come to America from other countries because of Michael Jackson. Because of Michael Jackson, the industry changed, music changed. He was a gift to us, and you know, I’m worried that God Almighty won’t send someone like that again because we didn’t take good care of him. That’s my opinion." He also talks about his experience working on this video: "In Bad, it was supposed to be only three days of work, but it took three and a half weeks. Almost a month of filming. And the thing I benefited from the most during that time was watching Michael while he rehearsed and performed. I told myself that I was in the presence of a consummate artist. This is the very place where I want to reach, and I want to have that kind of skill so that my rehearsals look like my performances. I learned that from him and tried to be like that."
