We Are The World aired during the Winter Olympics opening

On Friday, February 12, the newly produced version of the old song We Are The World was broadcast for the first time on NBC during the opening show of the Winter Olympic Games. On Saturday, the seven-minute video of the song was also shown. This video displays images of the devastation caused by the Haiti earthquake(s). It also includes images of 85 artists who have harmonized on the track. The revenue from this song will be used for charity and to help Haiti. Michael Jackson’s image taken from the old video of this song, as well as his voice in the new song, have been included. In this new song, Michael sings along with his sister Janet. Source: eMJey / AP
